Blowing a Lead in the Most Winnable Game of the Season, probably

The Denver Broncos, last week, gave up 70 points to another team in the NFL. The Chicago Bears, are an awful team with awful talent and an awful set of people running it.

When your QB has a career day, oh let’s say 300-some yards and 4 TDs, you’d expect that a team wins a game like that. But we’ve learned very early on that this team is incompetent in every way imaginable, in such a way that even if one facet of the game goes in our favor, the remaining other parts come crashing down on what little bit is done right.

There is no way that you don’t take a lead within the final 5 or so minutes of a game. Let’s just forget the 21 point comeback for a second. If I told you that your team had a chance to kick a field goal to break a tie at the end of a game, would you take it? Seems simple, right? Who wouldn’t take a chance to win a game? YOU’D BE SURPRISED!!

I can’t put blame on Justin Fields for this loss. This dude balled out. Is it a coincidence that this is the most competent the offense has looked all season and a certain someone wasn’t in attendance or the sidelines? I don’t know. But a defensive-minded coach, brought in to instill his little HITS principle to the team, and one that was gifted a fair amount of investment on that side of the ball this past offseason, has a unit that one could argue is the worst in the league? A collective group that has given up 25+ points 14 games in a row, all of those being losses?

My god man, I wasn’t surprised that they lost, but the way in which they did it leaves me at such a loss. This ownership is absolutely spineless and BROKE for not having the gall to fire a man in-season. What this fanbase saw was one of the most fireable offenses I’ve seen in a while.

But having the first two picks in next year’s draft is nice. It can’t get worse than this, right?
