The Chicago Bears Season is Officially Over

We’re still about 3 weeks away from Thanksgiving, a day where we are sure to get blown out by the Detroit Lions in front of America, and I can confidently say that it is time to pack it up and hope that we make the right hire for the next head coach.
Matt Eberflus has not won a single Sunday road game during his entire coaching tenure with the Chicago Bears. The most recent Sunday that the Chicago Bears won a game on the road was against Seattle in December 2021, a game that was coached by now-disgraced former head coach, Matt Nagy. I was at Disneyworld with my family and I remember being happy (I guess) that they were able to pull out a win in the midst of a disastrous season.
This season is no less disastrous. Given the blessing of true expectations, this team has been underwhelming whenever faced with a semi-formidable opponent. The Hail Mary of last week’s game was a gigantic blow to our confidence and stance for a playoff push and this horrible loss to the Arizona Cardinals all but cements the fate of this season: another abysmal and futile effort to win games.
Caleb Williams is the only thing stopping this team from looking worse. I still believe he is a massive upgrade from any QB we’ve seen ever in the history of this franchise. The defense was sure to break at some point, and the injuries that have piled up are at the very least allowing us to look at this team for what it is: a poorly-coached, under-disciplined mess that is going nowhere quick.
The Bears have the most difficult remaining schedule for the rest of the season out of any NFL team and I am reluctant to believe that they have more than 3 wins left in them. We’re stuck in a massive loop of never lining up our different levels of important personnel. I hate this team and I hate this sport.
Good yard.
