Dodgers take the first game after the Padres decided to be themselves

First off I wanted to begin with my hand up and fully acknowledging how stupid I am. Last post I took the Dodgers in 7 games despite the fact that they're playing a best of 5 series. That was foolish of me and I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I've done.

Anyways, that game was super boring the first 5 or so innings and then it got split wide open at one particular moment. That error by Hosmer. God dammit. I really shouldn't speak on anything that I've never done at the level that these gentlemen are doing it, but if I may throw out a qualifier, I played baseball for 10 summers and the last 8 exclusively as a first baseman.

As a first baseman, you have a lot of leeway. Its understood that you can only do so much and you can really only help your team by being a good one. Throw in the dirt, not your error. Errant throw in either which way, not your error. Throw not in time? Not your fault. You happen to pick it out of the dirt, jump in the air and make the tag, keep your foot on the bag while making a stretch that Simone Biles would be proud of, you're exceeding expectations and will probably get your dick sucked in the dugout by everybody. You just can't do what Hosmer did. A straight whiff is horseshit and unacceptable and the loss was merited simply off that. You can't get crossed up on a throw from the second baseman!!! Shame! Bad play!!

Not to mention! Clevinger only went 1+, the big boys went silent with runners on, and the Trolley Dodgers rode that momentum to that big inning, etc blah blah. Another log in the everlasting dumpster fire of a fanbase that got some acid rain poured on by the Lakers winning during this game. God, can you imagine how much more insufferable they'll be if both these teams win? For the sake of all the good twitter users, lets hope that's not the case at the end of October.

Hope to see a different outcome tonight, but probably not with the ticking time bomb, Clayton Kershaw on the bump. I do think there's a bit of time to fuck around before the fireworks, however.
