One Week Later…

I couldn’t have been more wrong about my predictions and I’m ashamed of myself.

The Ravens were weirdly incompetent on the offensive side. It seemed like the edge was in the calmness of the most successful team of recent years kicking into high (or low??) gear and being level-headed throughout the entire game, where Baltimore felt like they went directly into panic-mode as soon as they got down two scores. Lamar didn’t play great and I felt like they abandoned everything that got them to this point when they possessed the ball. Their defense settled down and played well but it was all for naught… the Chiefs are back in the big game, and I’m not super surprised to be honest with you.

I still can’t believe Dan Campbell went for it on that second 4th down. Honestly, I can’t believe he went for it on the first one! It felt like there was a point in the game where they could’ve stomped on the 9ers, make it almost impossible for them to conceivably come back or at the very least give yourself a chance to score and take a lead with very little time left on the clock. It’s a shame for the city of Detroit, it stinks to see a talented, animated team succumb to the hubris of their leader - live by the sword, die by the sword. But it didn’t have to be that way :/ The biggest winner of the game was perhaps the often put-down QB for the 9ers, Mr. Irrelevent Brock Purdy. I think he’s a bit more talented than what people would see in a game-manager, he has poise and calm in his game.

I’ll shoot out some solid predictions at some other time. Hopefully I’m more right about those ones lol.
