Predictions for the Divisional Round

It is 2 AM and I need to pump this out so I don’t hate myself for not being consistent with posting a blog for my loyal fanbase so here it is:

Texans @ Ravens

As much as I enjoy watching the rookie phenoms of Houston, I think the hard-nosed brand of Raven football that Mr. Harbaugh has installed into the Ravens culture will prevail. Lamar has only ascended higher into the ranks of elite QBs and the defense is stout, likely not to collapse like Cleveland did, especially while they play in front of all the extras from The Wire. I see an AFC Championship berth for Baltimore.

The San Francisco 49ers

The absolute most sure-fire team that will prevail in spite of the evils and tragedies of the world trying to stop them. Lock of the week right here.

Bucs @ Lions

Cooker Mayfield has proven that he is a worthwhile QB and Todd Bowles has proven that he has what it takes to lead a team to victory in the postseason. I do think that Dan Campbell is a better coach and the Lions are the better team, I will officially predict that they take this game, but I expect this to be a close one. I fear that they might be riding high from the previous game, so as long as they don’t feel any sort of complacency or secondhand satisfaction from that, I think they should be in the drivers seat to play on Championship Sunday.

Chiefs @ Bills

The crowned jewel of the weekend. This is the new generation of Brady vs Manning - the two (arguably) most exciting QBs to watch duking it out again, this time in the snow globe of Orchard Park, NY. I think the Bills will play better football and not let off the gas, but you can never count out Patrick Mahomes…that being said he has never played a road game in the playoffs except for the Super Bowl. The jury is still out on if he will succeed in a hostile environment. I’ll be bold and say I predict a Buffalo victory and no less than 58 tables broken in the parking lot before kickoff.

Let me know if there are any questions or concerns.
