We Still Have 14 More Games to Sit Through

credit @CryingJordan for the pic

It’s one thing to get blown out in front of America during a season that was supposed to be an exposition of a reformed team, but to get exposed in front of Taylor Swift and all her followers who tuned into a game for the first time and for that game to also get taken off from the nation broadcast?? There are people that upon their first experience with the game had the impression of “this team isn’t very good at all” when they saw the Bears. I can’t believe the floor just keeps getting deeper beneath the bowels of where I had assumed that it would end. This team is the one that everyone wants to play Homecoming weekend for a guaranteed win, and you have a free 2 downs to experiment with whatever gadget or gimmick play that you would want to see play out in a “real” game scenario. It’s emasculating, embarrassing and an absolute disgrace.

This falls on a lot of people, a lot of different corners of the organization, but I’m going to target ownership this week. The players and coaches never had a shot so I’ll get to them when they inevitably lose another game this season, probably next week (hammer the Broncos to cover a ginormous alternative line, the game is already over and out of hand).

George McCaskey is possibly the worst example of nepotism dragging a franchise, a brand, and ultimately a city down to the depths of HELL. This man has gone on record as “not being a football guy”, which in any other profession, any other team in this league even, is grounds for immediate termination. “But not my sweet little George!! Why, he’s doing a fine job running daddy’s team!!” I strongly believe Virginia McCaskey has lost touch with reality and plays absolute zero part in being present for any part of running the organization. She inherited the team that her father cared so much for, he led them to the glory that they should have never fell so far from, and has done absolutely NOTHING since it’s been in her hands. I strongly urge this team to take the initials of the founder off the sleeves of their jerseys, he wouldn’t stand for this garbage!

We as a fan base will be stuck in HELL until this ownership group decides to sell the team off to wealthier people with money to throw around for fun, someone that can truly invest in the future and development of a good, or at the very least a competent, product. The stadium debacle NEEDS to be resolved to give us SOMETHING to look forward to, cuz what we have to see on the field on Sundays (which thankfully most of the country got spared lol) is no reason for optimism.

I am now actively rooting for a 0-17 season to really stick it to the high brass. This is very much what the team deserves and I’d much rather see that than a real attempt this season.

I hate this sport so much.
